Candy Houses

We had a fun Family Home Evening activity with the kids and grandkids. We met at Wendy's house and made graham cracker candy houses (like gingerbread, but without having to bake the gingerbread.) The kids had a ball decorating houses and eating the candy. Afterward Grandpa was in charge of having all the grandkids act out the Nativity play. They had a good time doing that also. It was great to have most of the family together for this event.

Thanksgiving

The night got cold and it was late before the game got over, but Don's team won the championship in the 'over-60 softball league'. Wendy and her kids were so good to come and support us. Heidi's husband, Will, was even able to attend the championship game.

Don's softball team

Don's softbeall team won the season championship. He's been lucky enough to be on the winning team the past 2 seasons. That's him, 3rd from right, int he back row. Wendy and her family were at most of the games to cheer him on. When he got up to bat, everyone yelled, "Go Grandpa," because that's how the grandkids cheered for him. It was pretty cute to hear them yelling that, especially since all of the guys are grandpas -- but they didn't have as big of a cheering section.
