Kids enjoy camping too.

It takes a lot of wood to keep our campfires going. We got to roast lots of S'mores this year.
Riley got lots of loving. Ninna had the magic touch.
Heidi and Will are ready to try their luck at fishing in the rivr.
The kids loved helping gather firewood. Fires hold a special fascination.
Sunday afternoon it rained and then hailed on us. It didn't keep the kids from going out and playing in it though.

Yummy food. We didn't go hungry while camping. Will and Heidi fixed some yummy BBQ chicken and baked potatoes. Just what some hungry kids need to keep them going.
Our old 'playpen' keeps kids at arms length from the fire.

Game time. Fun Fun Fun.

More games. What should I play now?

Playing games is a favorite activity at camping. This year some of the older kids learned to play Rook, so they can join in the fun.

Jensen Family Reunion at Baumgartner campground

Several years ago we started going camping at Baumgartner campground and it has become a family reunion tradition. We started out in tents but most families have graduated to campers or trailers now. We have lots of fun together, eating, playing games, fishing, etc. What a great family we have! We were ALL together this year. We didn't get a group photo, however, as it started raining just as we were going to do it.

Don and I fixed breakfast every day. Hot chocolate, pancakes, eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon on the days we cooked. Sunday it was cold cereal, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, and hot chocolate.
Don's working on the hash browns. Yummy breakfasts to give us energy for the day!

It's not hard to get everyone up for breakfast! Now they're ready for a day of fun.

Kaylee and Kristina having some of Grandpa's yummy pancakes. Two little cousins who had lots of fun together.

Eric, Amanda, and Riley are ready for a day of fun. This is Riley's first campout with the Jensen gang. He was only a few months old last year when it was camping time.

Jensen Family Reunion June 2010

Heidi and Will fixed a yummy Dutch oven dinner for us. BBQ chicken, baked potatoes, peach cobbler. Can it get any better?

Dinner is always a favorite time at camping. Each family took turns fixing the evening meal. Spaghetti & salad, sloppy Joe's, BBQ chicken and baked potatoes, and hot dogs with macaroni & cheese were the menus this year. Don and Carol took care of breakfasts each day. Good stuff.

Kristina and Matthew playing with Riley. He was the center of attraction and so fun to be with.
